The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York is currently accepting applications for internships in the Exhibition Design department.
The Exhibition Design Department designs and oversees the installation of exhibitions in all Guggenheim museums and outside venues for traveling exhibitions. The department is a repository for architectural information: museum drawings and models, and a library of maquettes of the collection. The department works with curators to determine the layout of exhibitions and designs aspects necessary for the installation of artwork.
The deadline for spring internship applications is November 1st 2010 (postmark). Please note that a minimum commitment of 3-months is required.
Candidates with a background in architecture are strongly encouraged to apply. All applicants must be fluent in 2d software such as cad or vectorworks, 3d software a plus.
