This internship will provide a great opportunity to gain an insight into the activities of a prestigious international organisation that is driven by a mission to assist in addressing environmental issues, mainly in Central and Eastern Europe. The intern will work within the Italian Trust Fund (ITF) of the REC. His/her major tasks will include, but are not limited to, preparing documents and multimedia tools to advertise and establish projects implemented by the Sustainable Development Academy Topic Area and coordinated by the ITF; helping to organise conferences and meetings and prepare official documents/briefings; drafting and editing the ITF’s 10th anniversary compendium of achievements; constant monitoring of the latest developments in the field of sustainable development and the emerging fundraising mechanisms at national, EU and international level; and providing administrative support to the head of the ITF as and when necessary.
We are looking for someone who is:
* interested in working for an international organisation and/or in the environmental field;
* willing to join a dynamic, international team;
* highly motivated, organised, and attentive to detail;
* fluent in English (preferably a native speaker);
* able to keep deadlines and handle multiple tasks to a high standard; and
* able to work independently and also as part of a diverse team.
Internship conditions:
* The intern will be paid a fixed monthly amount in line with the REC’s internal policies, and housing will be provided on the REC’s premises in Szentendre, Hungary (depending on availability).
* If necessary, the REC will provide assistance in obtaining a visa for Hungary.
* The REC will provide the intern with a workstation suitable for the performance of his/her tasks.
* The REC will also provide the necessary guidance and supervision in order to ensure a mutually beneficial learning and working process.
