Zikwa is a social impact consultancy firm and are currently looking for interns for the project Mosaic Junction.
Mosaic Junction, is a melange of brush strokes and passions which brings together, people from various countries, to work with kids with disabilities and old age people. It invites all kinds of artists - young and old, amateur and established, to come and share their skills and help create a new language of art through human interaction.
We are looking for a diverse range of artisans to join their forces and mentor children who suffer from various ailments and mental or physical disability as well as elders confined to nursing homes.
Artisans and students work together to create not only diverse range of art forms but also stable livelihoods. Through the tutelage of our passionate artisans and staff, Mosaic Junction is creating a system of sustainability for all who participate.
Individuals interested in working on the technical and business side of Mosaic Junction should have good communication skills both written and interpersonal, be able to present at corporate and institutional gatherings, document the workshop process and explore and initiate alternative ways of exhibiting art shows.
Participants have the option of involvement as a volunteer or an intern. Interview processes are required for interns and volunteers. Individuals of all ages are encouraged to partake. College credit may also be negotiated for interns.
