Consumers want the widest range of products and stores, along with the information and data necessary to navigate those choices efficiently. Merchants demand exposure This is an exciting opportunity to join the Merchant Sales & Acquisition Team of a thriving online Shopping comparison site.

The UK Merchant Sales & Acquisition Intern will be supporting a successful and established sales team with a high volume of current and pipeline activity. This is an important role within the merchant sales team and the incumbent will be responsible for taking ownership in supporting the lower tier retailer acquisition, selection, developing and understanding retailer needs from the comparison channel and competitor knowledge to drive incremental revenues for Shopping.com.

This position will also include analysis of merchant and market data as well as working on other ad hoc projects to support the sales team.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role would suit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, confident communicator (especially on the phone) who has interest in and understands the eCommerce industry, is keen to develop commercial skill set and learn about all aspects of the comparison shopping channel within the wider e-commerce industry.

Excellent English skills
Internship for 6 months
Starting date: 4 January 2010
Remuneration: £1500 per month
