Renewable Energy Association - Intern positions
About the internship:
The post will be for a period of six months starting ASAP. Reasonable home to work travel expenses will be covered.
The interns will be required to assist the REA’s policy and/or events team. The interns will also be expected to contribute to the general day to day running of the office and organisation.
These posts will offer the interns an opportunity to work with a wide range of organisations including renewable energy companies, government and NGOs, gaining valuable knowledge of renewables policy as well communications experience.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate or similar, proactive, reliable with a flexible approach to work, numerate and literate, good attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and an evident interest in the energy and environmental agenda.
The REA has recently moved to larger new premises just outside Waterloo station, London.
Duties will include:
General
Updating database and websiteAnswering the phone
Basic office duties
Book meeting rooms and take minutes
Policy
Researching the relevant energy and renewable policiesWriting briefing notes on the main policies
Updating factsheets on policies
Uploading papers onto the website
Putting together a list of useful renewable energy related statistics
Compiling a weekly list of consultations
Summarising consultation responses
Get involved in other policy work as and when it arises
Events
Register delegates and answer events related enquiriesChase invited speakers, update and send out briefing notes
Help promoting events via multiple channels
Take responsibility for contra-deals with third-party events
