The Business Development Intern will support and be part of a growing team of highly motivated people.
As Business Development Intern you are responsible for the generation and development of both inbound and outbound new business opportunities.

Resposibilities
 Develop new business, through actively identifying prospective businesses and understanding their business model and needs for specific monetization services. Develop working relationships that turn into revenue, both for the client and Paymentwall. Actively and successfully managing the sales process: from lead generation to signing agreements; negotiations; closing deals; assisting the account management team. Present Paymentwall to potential clients through direct communication, face-to-face meetings, networking events, calling and e-mails. Representing Paymentwall at industry events and tradeshows with the intention of gaining new business leads and contacts. Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation with the assistance of senior Business Development Associates. Effectively interact with other departments including, but not limited to; technical integration and account management teams when necessary. Keeping updated on market trends and issues affecting the payments industry as well as collecting competitor intelligence. Partake in adhoc marketing activities in order to increase Paymentwall's visibility in current and expanding markets. Take initiative and strive to make a noticeable contribution to the company.

Requirements

  • You are confident, fun, friendly and most importantly business savvy understanding different business models and business needs. 
  • Ability to have serious conversations around technical subjects. 
  • Detail oriented, positive attitude and the ability to prioritize tasks to fit deadlines. 
  • Have excellent intercultural competences and experience working in diverse teams. 
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and extremely diverse teams to drive results. 
  • Fluent in English- speaking and written communication. 
  • Written and verbal communication skills in fluent Dutch and other European languages is highly valued (but not mandatory)
  • Graduated or graduating Spring/ Summer 2014

PAID INTERNSHIP in Singapore as a Marketing and PR Intern

We just found another paid internship in Singapore for those of you who wish to gain more international experience in marketing and PR and you speak German or Dutch and perhaps an Asian language.

BENEO Asia-Pacific is the Asian subsidiary of the innovative food manufacturer BENEO GmbH, a member of the Südzucker Group. They are currently offering an internship for 1 year starting from June/July 2012 with a good working atmosphere in a small, but highly motivated team in Singapore´s Science Park II. BENEO can help in obtaining the appropriate visa and permits to the successful candidate. BENEO also offer support in finding accommodation in Singapore for the internship period.

The internship will be paid with a monthly remuneration of SGD 2,300 (approx. EUR 1.100).

Job Description
  • Market research on competition (food ingredients), food and beverage market and companies in Asia 
  • Organize and support corporate events (e.g. seminars, workshops, exhibitions) 
  • Support in developing and coordinating promotional material (e.g. brochures, leaflets, concept, samples, presentations, business cards) 
  • Support in developing advertising material (e.g. online banners) 
  •  Media Relations (establishment and maintenance of contacts with Asian editorial magazines, adaptation of editorial texts (articles and press releases) to the regional market, coordination and implementation of the editorial planning) 
  • General administrative tasks (database entries, filing, copying, packing of samples, meeting minutes) 
  •  Liaise with German IT Support for user problems 

Requirements
Master student or Bachelor student in 4./5./6. semester of communication science, marketing or comparable course of studies.

Desired candidate should also:
  • Have excellent English skills both in written and spoken form and ideally German or Dutch and one Asian language Good linguistic and analytical skills 
  • Contact and communication skills 
  • Structured way of working 
  • Strong negotiating skills 
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated 
  • Working-time flexibility for e.g. trade fairs 
  • Ideally having some background in market research methods 
  • Good knowledge of the standard MS Office applications Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Job description
As an intern you will become a member of ibm.com. Ibm.com is the department within IBM which main objective is the sales towards a large part of the IBM clients via telephone and the web.
Within ibm.com, we perform a large number of tasks in support of the sales population, the management team and the ibm.com web team. Moreover we assure the department runs smoothly and in compliance with the IBM rules.

As an intern you will:
- Do reporting on sales productivity, follow-up on customer satisfaction metrics, educate and help users with our CRM application Siebel, and implementation and education of new tools.
- Gain great insight in the way IBM works and get a taste of a lot of tasks performed by sales, sales support and the web team within IBM.

Candidate Requirements:
The internship has to be part of your studies and is mandatory to obtain your diploma. The internship period should last for a minimum of 6 months.
Due to Belgian legislation you need to be a EU citizen or if not, you have to study today in Belgium.
The ideal candidate is a university/high school student in economics or IT or any other area with a high interest in human behavior, technology and working with numbers.
No previous work experience is required. Good PC and Microsoft Office skills are a must.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship. However, the intern will receive an Internship Allowance.
