SUMMER INTERNSHIPS in Norway, for International Theatre Lab

Are you interested in starting your career in the creative industries?

International Theatre Lab is looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals to join their team for a full-time summer internship at our Theatre Centre in Bjørke, Norway.

The duration of the internship will be three months or less, with a minimum of one month, between June and August 2012.

During this period, the interns will be exposed to intensive theatre training and creation, and will be sharing duties with staff members that include marketing, administration, community outreach and housekeeping. 

Conditions of the internship
Internships are to be viewed as a training opportunity and are unpaid. However, we cover accommodation and meals for the selected applicants. Travel expenses remain the responsibility of the intern.

Requirements
The applicants must have good written and oral communication skills in English. Some background in performing, communications, marketing, and/or graphic design is an advantage. We appreciate creative initiative, drive, an open mind and a sense of humor, and the desire to take on the challenges of rural life in our beautiful, but remote location.

THE COMPANY
Interdean provides relocation services to suit the needs of companies who relocate their employees to locations throughout Europe or around the world.​ Interdean's relocation services are designed specifically to support the person who is relocating, their family and the company's relocation programme.​ Last year Interdean's relocation services helped 32,000 families, expatriates and international assignees to relocate overseas.​

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide administrative support for Operations teams as well as other ad-hoc duties as required from July to September 2010.​


RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Office Support

· Filing for operations teams/​admin departments eg.​ Finance etc.​
· Reception /​ switchboard cover (lunch/​holidays)
· Filing
· Opening, date stamping and sorting incoming post
· Franking outgoing post, preparing Royal Mail Special/​Recorded mail
· Ad-hoc reception duties e.​g.​ booking cabs/​bikes, first line queries

2. Customer Service

· Pro Active Communication, Phone Calls, Emails and Letters to Customers and Suppliers
· Communicating with and advising clients on the process of their move.​
· Providing professional guidance to customers in respect of (Outbound /​ Inbound Sea, Air and Road freight) Customs documentation, requirements and Local customs documentation and regulations at destination.​
· Communicating status reports and information /​ documentation requests to the appropriate parties.​

3. Logistical Management of Move

· Preparation of country guides for customers
· Preparing initial survey pack for surveyors
· In Control, Issuing Pro Active Instructions, Follow up, Monitor and Feedback
· Preparing packing instructions for various methods of shipment
· Preparing Warehouse Instructions with respects to the required action & additional preparation required for various methods of shipment.​
· Preparing delivery Instructions for various methods of shipment
· Making Outbound Container bookings, LCL Bookings, Airfreight Bookings and preparing & submitting the necessary booking and customs /​ security documentation to Shipping Lines, NVOCC, Airline Agents and Destination Agents.​
· Preparing and Submitting Inbound Customs Clearance documentation, arranging haulage and delivery crew bookings /​ instructions.​
· Liaising with Client, Shipping Lines /​ Airfreight Agents & Road Crews and to ensure all areas of the move including packing, transit times and delivery arrangements are in order to the client’s requirements and to ensure it is progressing smoothly and as planned.​
