SUMMER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY in New York City, USA Analytics Bootcamp at Bloomberg

Are you a college rising junior interested in the worlds of finance, news or technology?

Bloomberg invites you to apply for Bloomberg Analytics Summer Boot Camp!
 This week-long program is designed to expose undergraduate students to Bloomberg's Financial Sales and Analytics department. You will be immersed in a range of topics, including fixed income and equity fundamentals, interest rates and derivatives as well as leadership and networking activities with Bloomberg professionals. You will learn from some of the best instructors in the industry and apply this knowledge in a practical fast-paced business environment.

After attending Bloomberg Analytics Summer Boot Camp, you will have an understanding of the Bloomberg Professional® Service and potentially will have the chance to interview for a full time spot in our 2013 Summer Internship in the Sales and Analytics department in the Fall.

About the Analytics Department 
The Analytics department is Bloomberg's central portal for customer support inquiries as well as the beginning of the analytics and sales training program. Analytics generalists and specialists are responsible for providing accurate, real-time responses in order to consistently surpass expectations of our customer and develop better Bloomberg users. By effectively listening and responding to the needs of the market, we are able to provide an outstanding service, while building intelligent and creative employees capable of growing within our organization.

Eligibility 
You are eligible if you meet the following requirements at the time of application:
-You are currently enrolled in college as a rising junior
-You are interested in a career in business and/or finance
-You are not a current employee/intern of Bloomberg LP
-You are not an immediate family member (parent, child, sibling, or spouse) or relative of a Bloomberg employee -Must be able to attend the Boot Camp the week of July 16th

Qualifications 
-On track for a Bachelors Degree with stated academic achievement
-Strong demonstrated interest in the worlds of finance, news or technology
-Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Multi-tasking skills
-Ability to work well under pressure
-Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
-Team player
-Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
-Minimum required GPA: 3.0
-Recommended GPA: 3.3

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS in Norway, for International Theatre Lab

Are you interested in starting your career in the creative industries?

International Theatre Lab is looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals to join their team for a full-time summer internship at our Theatre Centre in Bjørke, Norway.

The duration of the internship will be three months or less, with a minimum of one month, between June and August 2012.

During this period, the interns will be exposed to intensive theatre training and creation, and will be sharing duties with staff members that include marketing, administration, community outreach and housekeeping. 

Conditions of the internship
Internships are to be viewed as a training opportunity and are unpaid. However, we cover accommodation and meals for the selected applicants. Travel expenses remain the responsibility of the intern.

Requirements
The applicants must have good written and oral communication skills in English. Some background in performing, communications, marketing, and/or graphic design is an advantage. We appreciate creative initiative, drive, an open mind and a sense of humor, and the desire to take on the challenges of rural life in our beautiful, but remote location.

IDEO Munich is looking for a business-savvy design thinker. This generative role requires a unique blend of real-world experience and theory, entrepreneurial zeal and boardroom polish. Business Design Interns work collaboratively, creatively, and flexibly within interdisciplinary teams and with our clients. Being a designer at IDEO means you do a lot of listening, observing, brainstorming and iterating with a group of people with backgrounds very different than yours.

Summer Intern tasks
The job will be to research and analyse information and data that enables iZettle to adapt the service to the conditions of new markets. The tasks will vary greatly but there is no doubt that all interns will be able to make a clear impact on the coming international launches of iZettle´s service.

Summer Intern Responsibilities:

SUMMER INTERNSHIP or THESIS near London, U.K as Research/Design Intern at Procter & Gamble

The P&G internship programme is a successful way to hire future R&D employees in Europe (Reading, UK and Kronberg, Germany). It is a period of mutual trial - a chance for you to gain industrial experience, look at us as a potential future employer and for us to see your capabilities.
The P&G main internship normally runs for 10-12 weeks in the summer break but they also offer internships/placements/thesis for longer periods (up to 1 year) and at different times of the year. Next opportunities will be available as of June 2012.

Job Responsibilities
During the internship students will:
1. be responsible for their own project(s) as part of a European project team that includes senior management,

Job Requirements
P&G are looking for Design students from a range of Design related backgrounds (Industrial design, Product Design and Design Engineering).
It is preferable that students are in their penultimate year of a superior degree (PhD's also considered) and have a demonstrated history of academic excellence at all stages through school and university education.
In addition to good knowledge of English, we also look for skills such as technical curiosity, creativity, innovation, initiative, communication, leadership and the ability to work with others.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK as work permit will not be facilitated for outside EU passport holders.


Design internship role description
The design role in Reading requires creative conceptual thinking and a strong design skills base to bring concepts to life. Primarily the role involves developing the skills to gather consumer and technical insights, whole brain creative thinking to turn insights into ideas and design skills to turn ideas into shaving concepts.
As an intern candidate we expect students to show through their portfolio work examples of creative conceptual thinking. We expect to develop a skills base in consumer research and evaluation of ideas. We look for strong base level of design tools such as sketching and CAD from which we can build during the internship. The type of project work we assign to student varies from broad design brief in a strategic opportunity area through to design development of already formed ideas. We will coach interns through the process of invention and design to develop working examples of their ideas for consumer testing.
The basic requirements:
1. Design principles, form, structure, colour, materials and finishes
2. Consumer centred design principles
3. Ergonomics and usability principles
4. Product interaction design principles.
5. Sketching and artwork skills, manual and digital - as a way of exploring, developing and sharing ideas
6. CAD/CAM
7. Studio Modelling - again as a way of early and fast exploration, inventiveness of producing feasibility models quickly, cheaply and efficiently in a studio environment to gather quick learning
8. Basic workshop skills including lathe and mill
9. Design for Manufacture from bespoke to batch and mass manufacture techniques and their effect on how you would design the product and assemblies.
