INTERNSHIP in Geneva, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. Incorporated as a not-for-profit foundation in 1971 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Forum is tied to no political, partisan or national interests.

The Risk Response Network (RRN) provides an independent platform to better map, measure, monitor, manage and mitigate global risks and is now seeking a Risk Response Network Intern. 
They are also looking for an HR Intern

Internship Role
You will research existing commercial risk assessment tools and write a report on the tools that could be of greatest interest to the RRN. You will also provide programme support to develop four workshops on supply chain risks.
 More specifically, the tasks will include:
• Using available public sources, Forum community experts and external interviews to conduct research and write the report on commercially available risk assessment tools
• Assisting in the management of a growing number of supply chain risk experts and tracking their engagement with the Forum through various software tools and the Forum’s online platform
• Assisting with the organization of the workshops, including handling logistics and producing background documents

You have Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent university diploma.
You are fluent in spoken and written English.
You possess excellent computer skills, especially in Excel, Word and Lotus Notes.
You are familiar with using online social media platforms.

INTERNSHIP in London, U.K as a Research Coordinator Intern for an IT start-up

MyAliveDay is a central London based Community Interest Start-up company who are on an ongoing basis looking for an enthusiastic and passionate intern excited to grow together with an entrepreneurial CIC organisation and directly contribute to its on-going success. The company site is currently under development and is looking for an intern that will coordinate specific MyAliveDay research projects in areas such as psychology, social media, NPO development and fundraising. The Research Coordinator will also be tasked with assisting the President in fund raising and partnership networking from time to time.

While there may be some hands on work and occasional meetings, most work will be online
based, producing research results and analysis. The objective is to research and analyse key developmental areas for MyAliveDay, allowing the organisation to improve its service, design and content.

Mission
To prepare university/college students and people in search of related work experience
for entry into the entrepreneurial, non-profit management and cognitive psychology fields
by providing a thorough understanding of the research and development functions of a
community interest services organisation to include theory and practical application of
attained knowledge.

Program Objectives
Business Management
- Develop an entrepreneurial business mentality
- Understand how companies rate and communicate employee performance
- Understand ethics, compliance, and business conduct issues pertaining to our
industry
- Understand time management requirements when working with individual agents or
teams

Product and Research
- Understand the basic target marketing and research systems
- Develop marketing and the importance of timing in launching new brands
- Gain substantial knowledge into non-profit services and operations

Networking
- Develop skills in professional networking and their importance to charity based
programs

Personal Development
- Develop planning, organizational and time management skills
- Increase knowledge of computer skills and technology
- Learn research management and delivery
- Develop team-based work competencies
- Through research- gain knowledge and experience of cognitive psychology put to practice
- Experience the wellbeing effects of working in the non-profit sector

The Research Coordinator should be prepared to perform any of the following activities:
- Research areas related to the psychology of MyAliveDay proprietary frameworks
- Research areas related to online and offline based therapies
- Research relationships between keywords and online activities, visuals and
applications
- Research areas related to the arts and their effects/applications in modern online
support services
- Research grants and government aid
- Assist with areas such as networking organisation, meeting preparation and
presentations
- Reporting directly to the President of MyAliveDay C.I.C.
- The Research Coordinator will liaise with the CTO and CMO of MyAliveDay C.I.C.

Average Hours per week
Part time (15 to 20 hours) or full time (30 to 35 hours) positions are available

Duration
The internship program has two options: a three month program and a six month program.
Bothy options are available. There may be an opportunity for part-time and full-time paid
work in the future after completing the internship.

Training
The Research Coordinator will be fully trained prior to beginning any work.This is a unique experience to quickly get a lot of responsibility if you are the person we are looking for.

Requirements
- Understanding of basic psychology
- Desired knowledge: Qualifications/Studies or work experience related to topics in Social Science such as psychology and the Arts
- Solid knowledge of web navigation, MS Office and email communication,
- Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
A plus if you have solid knowledge of social media
- Work visa for the EU is a minimum, preferrably residents already in London as we will not be able to help with accomodation for the intern.

Compensation
Although this internship is unpaid, we will work with the student/work experience seeker
and his/her school or grant program to assist the individual in receiving reimbursement
for expenses (travel and food) incurred on the student’s or behalf. MyAliveDay C.I.C. offers

INTERNSHIP OFFERS in Cameroon for french speakers as Legal and Research Interns

Rights for All is a non for profit grassroot NGO committed to the promotion and protection of human rights in
the CEMAC zone and are currently looking for a legal intern and a research intern who will be able to assist Rights For All to establish the Yaoundé Human Rights Research and Documentation Centre.

Job Summary:

You will be working in the newly established Human Rights Research and Documentation Centre. You will
assist students and local researchers accessing information and human rights documentation. Additionally,
you will be responsible for the promotion of the centre in the region and the creation of networks and carry out research on human rights related issues in the region. We are looking for a full time employee, a person with strong research and writing skills, knowledge of human rights and a commitment towards working for a more just and sustainable world.

In addition, you will be required to undertake other administrative duties as required by the post and any task
that may be assigned to you from time to time by the Executive Director or the Programme Director.

The successful candidate will have significant, hands-on experience in research and event planning.
Opportunities to learn other skills necessary for non-profit work exist for the right candidate.
