INTERNSHIP in Stockholm Sweden for Wasa (Barilla) as a Marketing Intern

Barilla, a Family company originally established in 1877 as a bread and pasta shop in Parma, is today one of the top Italian food groups: a leader in the pasta business worldwide, in the pasta sauces business in continental Europe, in the bakery products business in Italy and in the crisp bread business in Scandinavia through the Wasa brand. We are now looking for an ambitious and driven intern to join the Wasa marketing team in our Stockholm office. The internship is offered to students who are currently finishing their studies and are interested in a 6 month long internship starting late August 2012. 

This position is only eligible to swedish speaking students who have chosen to do an internship as a course through their studies at a Swedish university, and therefore are provided a student grant through CSN. The position is full time and unpaid, but the 20 weeks can be transferred into university credits.

About the internship 
The main responsibilities of the Wasa marketing team are to monitor business performance and to define and implement effective actions according to marketing plans. The team work to establish and realize launch plans for new products as well as define price strategy. As an intern, you will help build the fundamentals of marketing knowledge in a concrete way, supporting the marketing team mainly in the topics described below:
- Main working relationships will be with the Trade Marketing team and Wasa Brand Development & Innovation team, both based in Stockholm.
- Close cooperation with Stockholm partners consisting of ad agency and digital agency.
- Also work with the digital team in Parma, Italy.

Key Accountabilities 
- Main activities include working on the digital platform, updating actual websites; collecting interesting and useful case studies; supporting the new implementation of Wasa Facebook as well as monitor digital tool “Meltwater”.
- Provide support through market assessments and monitoring the Category and Competitors.
- Concrete help in developing the new digital wave for Wasa Contribution in reports of market business update (Nielsen & GFK database About you We believe you have studied marketing, strategy or communication and have a passion for food.
- We hope you are creative, curious with great personal initiative as well as strong social skills.
- You are flexible, mobile and have cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent knowledge in English is a must, as well as advanced knowledge in Swedish.
- We also believe your Microsoft Office skills are top-notch, especially within Excel.

Tasks
You will develop, design and set up the new SACC website in order to make it more user-friendly and accessible.
You will also assist with the daily operations of the chamber including maintenance of the website and coordinate events. The position also includes marketing, public relations, communications and recruitment of new members. You will work closely with the members of the board.

Requirements:

About MissBibi:
Launched in 2006 by young designer Brigitte Giraudi, this French jewelry brand draws its inspiration from transforming everyday objects into elegant pieces of jewelry. Since its release, MissBibi has had considerable success across Europe being featured in such high fashion outlets as Colette in Paris, Selfridges in London, and Blue Tree in New York. About the Position:
Lucie Kaas is looking for an enthusiastic and creative business student to assist in its efforts to expand the MissBibi brand into the Swedish and Norwegian markets. Tasks will include the following:

- Developing a market entry strategy
- Identify and classify potential sales channels
- PR and marketing strategy (with focus on PR)

Additional tasks may include:

- Translating marketing material
- Updating and maintaining dealer lists

Please note that this position will be unpaid initially, however for the right candidate it can develop into a permanent job either in sales or strategy development. This internship can also be done in coordination with school projects such as a Master Thesis. The position may also require travel (at the expense of Lucie Kaas).

The ideal candidate:

- Has an interest for fashion
- Student in marketing, communications, branding, or fashion related studies
- Knowledge of the Swedish or Norwegian market
- Experience in online marketing tools such as Facebook, Twitter and blogs
- Self-motivated, flexible, and can think outside the box
- Experience within the fashion industry and/or sales is a plus, but it is more important to be able to learn and grow with the given tasks
- Can work minimum 20 hours a week, ideally full-time
- Fluent in Swedish or Norwegian and English is a requirement
